The University of the Aftermarket Foundation has established a memorial scholarship to honor the distinguished career of Francis X. “Frank” Berrodin, former chairman of Berrodin Parts Warehouse who passed away on April 24, 2019 at the age of 92.
Berrodin spent his career in the automotive aftermarket. After serving in the United States Navy during World War II, he joined the family business in 1948 and throughout his career at Berrodin Parts Warehouse, served in a variety of roles, including many years as chairman of the board. Founded in 1905 as Berrodin Auto Supply Company, Berrodin Parts Warehouse is headquartered in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. The family owned and operated business started out with one store in Philadelphia and has grown to an eight warehouse, 300 employee operation.
In 2021, one $5,000 scholarship will be awarded in Berrodin’s memory. Qualified candidates should be planning a career in the automotive aftermarket and should be entering or attending a full-time, post-secondary program at an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university or an ASE/NATEF certified automotive vocational school.
Applications approved by the University of the Aftermarket Foundation (UAF) Scholarship Committee will be submitted to the UAF Board of Trustees for approval.
