Larry Cotten Memorial – NACAT

The Larry Cotten Memorial Scholarship is offered by the North American Council of Automotive Teachers (NACAT) Education Foundation. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a student training to become a collision repair technician. 

The scholarship applicant must meet the following criteria:

• Applicant must either be a graduating high school senior or have graduated from high school.
• Applicant must submit a letter of reference from his/her instructor.
• Applicant must have a minimum overall 3.0 grade point average.
• Applicant must be enrolled in a full time post-secondary collision repair program.
• Applicant must complete the scholarship application. All school transcripts including high school and post-secondary (if applicable) must be submitted with the application. 
• Applicant must submit a 250-word essay, on why the student believes they deserve to be the scholarship recipient, with the application.

We respectfully request that the winning applicant be able to create a short (60 second) “thank you” video upon the award’s receipt. This video will be used in Foundation marketing and shown at the annual NACAT awards banquet during the year in which the award was granted.
