About Larry Cotten:
The Larry Cotten Memorial Scholarship was created in memory of North American Council of Automotive Teachers charter member and former President, Larry Cotten. Larry was dedicated to the advancement of technical training. In 1982 he took a year leave from teaching to work for the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR).
Larry tragically passed away in a 2005 accident. His wife and family established the Larry Cotten Memorial Scholarship to help pass Larry’s passion into the next generation of collision repair technicians. The recipient of the Larry Cotten Memorial Scholarship receives $1,000 to be used toward their automotive education.
About NACAT:
The North American Council of Automotive Teachers was founded in 1975 as an informal gathering of automotive instructors. Today, with member instructors spanning multiple countries, the council exists to promote, update and improve automotive service education. NACAT’s annual conference and expo is the premiere update training experience in North America, offering instructors manufacturer, aftermarket, and independent training seminars, instructional aids and techniques, and an expo to learn more about cutting edge industry products.
