The McCarthy Family Scholarship

The McCarthy Family Scholarship was established by Angela (Molfese) and Paul McCarthy to honor their respective grandfathers, Dominic Molfese and Ralph McCabe.

Both Dominic and Ralph built their lives and supported their families through automotive repair careers. Angela’s grandfather Dominic spent his career helping build the legendary Chevy small-block V8, while Paul’s grandfather Ralph was a lifelong repair professional in Peoria, Illinois whose passion for automotive service inspired generations of the family, including Paul. The scholarship is designed to invest in the next generation of aftermarket professionals and give back to a tradition that has provided so many opportunities for both families.

Applicants for this scholarship should meet these qualifications:

• Planning a career in the Automotive Aftermarket.

• There is no minimum GPA requirement.

• Planning to attend or are attending a full-time program at an accredited college or university, or an ASE/NATEF certified post-secondary automotive, collision or heavy-duty technician training program.

• One $2,500 scholarship will be awarded annually in the memory of Ralph McCabe and Dominic Molfese.
